As part of my Diploma of Agriculture – Livestock Health Strategies unit, I was required to research a herd disease in greater detail. I chose to investigate and present on Mycobacterium avium paraturboculosis (M.a.p.) aka Chronic Wasting Disease aka Johne’s Disease.
I present it here for posterity, sharing and proof that I do stuff other than hyperventilate about current issues.
p.s. let me share a (very bad) pun with you. Whilst explaining the fact that many mycobacterium based diseases have a tendency to remain unseen for a number of years within a host before becoming apparent, I described this as “the bacteria thus remains in the host in lympho”
